This position is part of the Field Sales Team, specifically part of the New Customer Acquisition Team (NCAT). This position will research prospective customers, create outreach strategies, and identify new sales opportunities for the outside sales team. The Lead Generation Specialist will work closely and collaboratively with the outside sales team to implement appropriate outbound prospecting strategies within the assigned territory or industry market. This position will focus on high-volume outreach via phone and email.
Essential Functions:

- Understand Field’s value proposition and passionately communicate its impact.
- Drive sales opportunity pipeline and sales growth by finding and engaging qualified leads via phone and email.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing team to create a positive impression of Field through early on sales stages and maximize lead conversion.
- Develop opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts/markets and soliciting new accounts.
- Create a great first impression of Field by providing prospects with a memorable experience and critical information.
- Assess potential fit and “pain points” of the customer and schedule onsite “discovery sessions” with sales team to learn about the customer process and value we can bring them.
- Generate and prioritize strategic target accounts, geographies, and industry segment lists and refine approach to best infiltrate them.
- Research accounts and key contacts via websites, LinkedIn, HubSpot, etc.
- Maintain active engagement with new leads through creative follow-up communications.
- Engage in on-going dialogue with prospects to keep Field top-of-mind and help build stronger relationships and brand awareness.
- Conduct on-site customer prospecting visits with outside sales team.
- Assist in marketing activities as needed and able.
Education, Skills and Experience Required:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Additional Skills Preferred:
- Inside Sales or Outside Sales experience.
- Previous fastener industry or industrial sales experience.
- Previous marketing experience.
