Human Resources Coordinator

The Human Resources Coordinator provides support to team members and leaders in the Florence, SC distribution center location.  This includes core HR functions such as supporting and enhancing Field culture, recruiting and onboarding activities, temporary staffing support, community engagement, and facility safety.  This role will also manage a variety of administrative support functions such as reporting, data entry, and presentations.  Occasional travel to other sites within the geographic region may also be needed.  This role has potential to promote into an HR Rep position.

Essential Functions:

  • Commit to FIELD’s Mission Statement, Core Values, and Fieldamentals.
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for team members for general questions and employment needs.
  • Effectively manage the recruiting, interviewing, and retention activities for the Florence site.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and ensure effective onboarding of all new hires.
  • Manage the temporary agency relationships to ensure high quality temp team members and future applicants.
  • Ensure consistent, fair, and legally compliant employment practices.
  • Actively engage in activities such as job fairs, community events, volunteering events, and tours of the Field facility.
  • Assist in the coordination of various company and site functions.
  • Foster team member engagement through proactive cultural and teamwork related activities.
  • In partnership with Senior HR Rep, provide guidance to team leaders on employment-related topics and difficult conversations.
  • In partnership with Senior HR Rep, assist in the management of team member performance including coaching and corrective action.
  • Perform various administrative functions including reporting, data entry and tracking, and HR data analysis.
  • In partnership with the Training & Development Coordinator, assist with training initiatives and conduct training as needed.
  • Work with Safety Team to provide a safe workplace, conduct audits, and participate in Safety Team meetings.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of annual goals by recommending new approaches, policy and procedure reviews, and innovation activities.
  • Able to manage other projects and duties as assigned.

Education, Skills and Experience Required:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two or four year degree in business or a related field; in lieu of education, a minimum of 2 years progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Polite and professional manner.
  • Prior experience in a human resource assistant or coordinator capacity.
  • Proven ability to interact and relate to all personality types and levels within an organization.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Ability to foster a strong company culture and bring people together.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to give constructive feedback and provide recommendations.
  • Desire to grow and develop in role; take on additional responsibilities over time.
  • Strong time management skills and detail orientation.
  • Project management ability.
  • Highly motivated, well organized.

Additional Skills Preferred:

  • Prior experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
