Responsible for leading efforts between Field and its customers to ensure quality requirements are met and to resolve quality-related issues so that customer part specifications and overall quality expectations are met. This position also leads the part creation team and lab team leader. This position will work closely with internal teams in sourcing, quality, implementation, account management, and sales; as well as customer representatives by performing the following:
Essential Functions:

- Coordinate and communicate customer quality requirements to internal teams.
- Respond to quality issues by working with customers to fully understand any non-conformance issues with the goal of achieving a satisfactory resolution.
- Conduct customer audits and review customer quality reports to communicate results to Field personnel including Field’s Supplier Quality Engineer. Follow up with the appropriate parties to ensure corrective actions have been implemented.
- Work with the internal quality team to establish and uphold quality standards.
- Provide training, guidance, direction, and support to Part Creation team and Quality Lab team leader.
- Conduct performance reviews, interviewing, recognition, and performance management activities for assigned team.
- Collect and analyze quality data, including non-conformance issues (QVR’s) entered into TruBox. Use appropriate tools to communicate to management including Pareto diagrams, scatter diagrams, trend charts, etc., so that appropriate actions including training can be scheduled.
- Troubleshoot/research quality issues as needed using appropriate corrective action procedures.
- Resolve discrepancies and maintain documentation.
- Participate in internal auditing of ISO procedures.
- Maintain established quality metrics and report on quality metrics and Field performance on a regular basis.
- Build and maintain favorable relationships with suppliers, customers and Field team members.
- Travel as needed in US and Mexico to work with customers and Field team members.
Education, Skills and Experience Required:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Polite and professional manner.
- Working knowledge of threaded fasteners.
- Previous fastener distribution, fastener application engineering, or fastener manufacturing experience.
- Prior proven leadership experience.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge.
- Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external customers and suppliers.

- Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Technology degree preferred but will consider equivalent experience in quality engineering and/or manufacturing.
- ISO9001:2015 understanding is preferred.
