DC Operations Team Leader

Provide guidance and oversight for all activities involving Receiving, Shipping, and Inventory Control Operations of the business in Rockford, Illinois.  Serve as the leader and primary decision maker regarding day-to-day activities for Receiving, Shipping, and Inventory Control.  Provide guidance, leadership, coaching, cultural engagement, and mentoring to team members. Serve as the culture leader and responsible party for Receiving, Shipping, and Inventory Control. Work with Leadership to meet strategic, operational, and tactical objectives of the business.

Essential Functions:

  • Commit to FIELD’s Mission Statement, Core Values, and Fieldamentals.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of cultural engagement, organization policies, practices, procedures, and attainment of operating goals.
  • Directly responsible for results of the Receiving Team, Shipping Team, and Inventory Control for Rockford Center of Excellence.
  • Lead the growth development of Team Members and Team Leaders.
  • Able to respond quickly to a shifting reality, future initiatives, and adaptability to priorities accordingly.
  • Review, analyze, and prepare reports as needed and work with other members of leadership to systematize activities and work practices.
  • Assign or delegate responsibility for specified work or functional activities and disseminate policies and objectives to the team.
  • Organize resources to ensure effective production of services.
  • Coordinate activities of work teams to ensure efficiency and economy.
  • Monitor and analyze costs and prepare reports as required.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, performance monitoring, coaching, disciplining, and terminating of team members as needed.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent business/leadership experience.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience within a business similar to Field’s.
  • Experience in partnering with an executive team.

Technical Skills or other Requirements:

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge.
