This position is responsible for performing accounting measures by identifying, compiling, classifying, reporting, interpreting and analyzing financial information. This position will ensure appropriate accounting control procedures as defined below.
Essential Functions:
- Commit to FIELD’s Mission Statement, Core Values, and Fieldamentals.
- Manage cost accounting functions for our internal kitting operations.
- Perform accounts receivable and payable tasks.
- Assists with Month End close process in multi-branch & multi-company environment.
- Reviews General Ledger activity as needed and analyzes information to facilitate relevant reporting to Field.
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
- Prepares, obtains approval and posts monthly accruing expenses entries as needed.
- Drive process and reporting improvements and standardization efforts.
- Coordination with 3rd party accounting service providers – establishing closing calendars, account coding standardization, and general control requirements.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Provides accounting support and processing entries when workload requires additional support.
- Assists in preparation of year-end work papers for internal and external audits.
- Maintains Fixed Asset additions and disposals in database in accordance with company policy and ensure Asset and Depreciation ties to General Ledger.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- May have responsibility for international operations and intercompany financial consolidations.
- Proactively communicates observations to Controller upon initial discovery then works to validate data.
- Meets Field mission by completing related training schedule and team member participation requirements.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Education, Skills and Experience Required:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of experience is preferred.
- Experience with multi-company and multi-country operations is preferred.
- Ability to recognize problems and take appropriate action.
- Fixed asset management and reporting experience is preferred.
- Experience with state and local sales/use tax and property tax returns & filings is preferred.
- Willing to travel to Mexico and other US company locations on a quarterly basis.
- High level of computer skills including business analytics software.
- Experience and ability to perform complex tasks in Excel and SQL.
- Polite and professional manner.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge.
- Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Strong time management skills and detail orientation.

- Fluent in English and Spanish is desired.
