This position is a critical role on the implementation team, responsible for identifying part requirements and creating part plans. This position is responsible for developing, refining, and carrying out a lean process approach to all aspects of part creation. The position is also responsible for communication with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues and clarification of requirements. This position will work closely with internal teams Quality, Sourcing, and Account Management.
Essential Functions:
- Commit to FIELD’s Mission Statement, Core Values, and Fieldamentals.
- Support Plan for Every Part (PFEP) process, manage information within the PFEP, linking prints and specs, adding revisions, product type classification, identifying discrepancies, and other data as defined.
- Evaluate parts, prints, and specifications, communicate with customers, and effectively communicate customer expectations to the balance of the team.
- Lead Field last piece inspection efforts and record results.
- Ensure proper identification of all part requirements, document/communicate discrepancies to customer, and make corrections to the PFEF.
- Responsible to project manage their subsection of all new customer implementation processes.
- Perform last piece inspections for quotes to ensure quality standardization, and nomenclature adherence.
- Define and document part categorization to determine the impact of a particular part on the overall success of the implementation plan.
- Refine/repair current business system nomenclature and reduce overall SKU’s to standardize callouts, working with Quality and Eng when revisions or additions need to occur.
- Oversee and manage Item Merges.
- Oversee P21 Maintenance Process, and completes actions required to update requests in P21 to reflect any required changes, edits, merges as noted.
- Responsible for the Print Revision Process and the duties required to process through all Print Revisions provided to Field from the customer, including review of the new print, and documenting changes.
- Lead or support any Part Related information regarding continuous improvement.
- Process and manage all aspects of the Daily Part Creation process, by collaborating with account managers, quality team members, and sourcing (Q-Strat) to confirm all related details meets new part creation requirements.
- Identify the correct nomenclature, detailed description, correct product type, and material cost base, and supplier information within P21.
- Create pre-defined routings for secondary processes as well as create assembly maintenance to ensure production orders (KITS BOM) are created correctly in P21 per Field COE .
- Leads in training Field team on the Part Creations Process and Field Nomenclature.
- Correct incorrect part numbers in P21, edit for accuracy, remove duplications, and ensure consistency for future part creations.
Education, Skills and Experience Required:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Polite and professional manner.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Proven to be driven to achieve and succeed; solution oriented.
- Excellent communication skills with external and internal customers.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Possess knowledge of new product development processes and workflow.
- Able to work successfully in a deadline-driven, fast paced environment and effectively multi-task multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based applications, especially Microsoft Excel.

- Fundamental knowledge of mathematical concepts.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or a combination of education and equivalent work experience in Engineering, Quality, or related field required.
- Engineering or Quality Technician/Lab Testing Experience, preferred.
- Working knowledge of threaded fasteners, preferred.
- Previous fastener distribution and/or fastener application engineering experience, preferred.
